The foundation of National Diabetes Obesity and Cholesterol Foundation (N-DOC) is under the President ship of Dr. Anoop Misra, Director and Head, Department of Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases, Fortis Hospitals (New Delhi and NOIDA) and the able guidance of Dr Angeli Misra, Director, Lifeline Laboratories, Dr Asha Bhatnagar, Director, Lifeline Laboratories, and Mr Neeraj Bhatnagar. The N-DOC is committed to fight against diabetes, obesity and cholesterol related disorders and raising awareness of these diseases.

N-DOC has been actively involved in the education of general public, school children and their parents, and schoolteachers regarding diabetes, obesity and cholesterol disorders. Educational school programs are being conducted to disseminate information on the above-mentioned aspects. It regularly organizes lectures on diabetes, obesity and cholesterol disorders in Delhi and various other cities of India. N-DOC also continues to provide medical education to doctors through group discussions and lectures on diabetes, obesity and cholesterol. It conducts appropriate, innovative, culturally specific, basic and applied research in the area of diabetes, obesity and cholesterol disorders with the help of physicians and scientists of CDOC and with others in India and abroad and has published several papers in the National and International journals on observations and findings pertinent to Asian Indians. N-DOC also aims to act as nodal institution for collaborative research and education with scientists and physicians of repute from Indian and foreign universities in diabetes, obesity, lipids and related disorders.
